About Us
Our Philosophy
Our objective is to prepare the child for life. The Learning Tree will give the child a strong basis for developing habits, skills, and positive attitudes that will stay with him/her throughout life. We want to help the child to have a love and respect of self and others and to help develop a joy, curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. We want him/her to become a flexible person who can cope and adjust, who knows how to think, to be creative, problem solve, to make decisions, to be independent and to develop self discipline. The environment of The Learning Tree is designed to be developmentally appropriate for the children. This takes into account the age appropriateness, as well as individual appropriateness of activities.
Our Teachers
The staff of The Learning Tree Day School have extensive education and training in early childhood programs. All maintain their expertise through continuing educational programs.
Our staff also offers something just as important as education and training - they offer their love, too. Your child deserves nothing less!!
We share the excitement and pride of children who have just mastered something new. Recognizing that their basic desire to learn requires emotional as well as academic support, we strive to make children feel confident, accepted and appreciated.
Our Program
Monday - Friday
Full Day: 7:30am to 5:30pm
(Children may arrive anytime after 7:30am and leave anytime after 12:00 noon)
Half Day: 8:00am to 12:30pm
Yearly, our programs include:
- Pre-school for two, three, four and five year olds.
- ABC Enhanced Center
- Licensed by the Department of Social Services (DSS)
- Educational field trips
- Music and Movement programs
- Hands on Curriculum
- Optional summer enrichment
Each child entering must have bathroom skills or be completing this developmental process.
